As someone commented "Didn't really need to continue reading once I read their daughter is named "Talulah" to be honest."

    Non-story.
Parade some thick people, who are nevertheless not so thick that they can't game the system.
Blame the system. In their shoes we'd all do the same.
    Hard Brexit now!

According to Gina, their 47" flat screen TV is their only luxury
Only 47". And I bet it's not plasma.

What I love about this story is, elsewhere she had commented about becoming an escort. I'm not sure even AtW would shell out the 50p to give her one.

You can't fault their logic. From a purely financial perspective, it's not worth working to get less money.

I saw people slagging them off on Facebook yesterday, saying "He obviously has enough money to waste on a stupid haircut".

My nephew is in a similar position.

Early twenties, young baby and girlfriend living on benefits living in a council flat (it's actually not a bad flat).

He had work, but has been laid off twice now due to cutbacks. When he was working, commuting costs and tax meant they were living in poverty.

The system means they have a better lifestyle than when he was working.

Work is unreliable, pay is too low, tax is too high.

The couple also hit back at those who describe them as scroungers, arguing that because their hard-working parents have paid tax all their lives, they are entitled to claim some of the money back.
So does mean as they're entitled to claim benefits because their parents paid tax, that we can just not support their parents in retirement lol. Assuming they will get a state pension or are in receipt of one, I can see it now

"Sorry all your taxes you've paid have been used up by your offspring"

Of course I already know that their parents taxes have paid for other people's retirements
