HMV Twitter Fail

The administrators at HMV have just laid off a load of people. Unfortunately, they told them before taking control of the company's Twitter account, so it was live-tweeted by a disgruntled ex-employee:

They are bust. live with it, and if you love working there so much why did'nt you push more sales to keep them in business?

I've been so long out of permie but they are not being sacked are they? They are being made redundant which has a certain set of benefits. Hacking the HMV twitter will get them sacked without those benefits? Pretty stupid thing to do no?
