    Path integrals on BBC2

Have we suddenly started getting real hard science on mainstream TV? Only caught 5 min but it hardly seemed dumbed down... For real or a gimmick?

Prof Brian Cox explained the Planck constant.

I got quite giddy, for a moment I thought that I actually understood what he was talking about.

I watched the last 15 minutes of the smug, grinning, unbearable twat. Seemed like quite a good programme other than him, so I'll probably try and watch it all on iPlayer this evening. But yes a science programme that doesn't treat its audience like 8 year olds is quite a rarity.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

So it's not just me that finds him irritating!

As MTT might say, I would.

Me too. He's a smug champagne socialist.

Never mind Planck's Constant, he should spend more time studying black holes, especially that Event Horizon called the Labour Party.

It could be the most informative programme ever, but if Cox is fronting it, I'd rather watch the X-Factor. Jim Al Khalili's the man for me.

He was there too, helping to explain steady-state waves with a skipping-rope and Simon Pegg
