    Atheist church

BBC News - What happens at an atheist church?

Sounds quite fun. However, I'd never be able to go to it. "(a) screen on altar showed photo of TV scientist Dr Brian Cox". Bloody heretics.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

Isn't an atheist church basically a CofE church?

They do seem to worship at the altar of 'a nice cup of tea at the next WI'.

One of my favourite things about being an atheist is that I don't need to go to church.

Don't really see the point in this, or in calling it a church, unless they're trying to annoy religious folk into making fools of themselves.

FFS so when Christians accuse atheism of being just another religion, these jokers make it appear to be exactly that

I end up going pretty much every Sunday too look after the kids whilst Mrs MUN actually listens to the sevice and takes the kids classes etc.

I do not mind, they are a nice bunch and I get on well with them - I am in the choir, attended an Alpha course (even did not bother arguing with the dubious logic that was being presented most of the time), a 'Life worth living' course and did most of the training to be a street pastor before we had two kids and spare time became a vague memory.

An atheist church is a funny idea though, although I listen to the atheist experience every week which is often great fun!
