    Well nobody told me!

    Last February my ADSL line was upgraded to ADSL2+ but rather disappointingly the line speed never increased above 8Mbps in fact it fell very slightly from 8192 to 8000.

    Move forward one year to today. I've just found the router setting that I should have changed last year to tell the router to use "Multimode" modulation instead of G.DMT modulation (i.e. ADSL1) .



    Now I'm getting the download speeds I've been paying for for a year.

      When I got the upgrade email it had instructions on how to re configure the router.
