    Tesco van kills horse in Little Kineton, Warwickshire, in PR disaster | Metro News

    Tesco have suffered another PR disaster after one of their van drivers ran over a horse and caused it to be put down.

      A Tesco spokesperson added: ‘We were sorry to hear about this sad accident. Our driver acted responsibly throughout and we are in contact with the owner, trying to buy the meat for burgers.’

          In a statement to the BBC the driver said "I was driving near the village, it was a bit bumpy and slippery, the van was bouncing up and down almost uncontrollably but after crossing two fields I managed to get the horse in the end."

            reminds me of that old saying that makes no sense "a horse in the field is worth two in a van".
