    Eurobase People

    Hi everyone,

has anyone worked with this agency:

    Eurobase People
    http://www.eurobase-people.co.uk/

I might be starting a new contract with one of their clients in the next week or so and would like to know if the agency is trustworthy, ie. do they pay on time, etc.

    Any information much appreciated.

    Thanks

a middleman, more trouble than they are worth. They will bring the following benefits: time delays, anonymity, confusion and at the end of the day they will cream some of your profit.
whats the lowest you can do this for?

Eurobase People are the agency arranging my interview, etc. so if I get the contract I will have no choice but to go through them. I know they will take their cut and I accept it as long as it is reasonable, ie. 10-15% max.

HankWangford, have you got direct experience working with Eurobase People? The main thing I'm interested in is how often they pay (I prefer weekly) and if they pay promptly. As we all know that some agencies do not pay promptly and sometimes do not pay at all.

I am currently with said agency.

Had a really good recruitment consultant handling me, but she's left them, and the one who's handling me now is pretty quiet.

Basically, I've not had any problems with em, touch wood. They handled the interview very well, didn't even hustle me for references, and this being the second job that i know of that they did put me foreward for. even gave me some valuable inside info to guide me for it, what to read on, possible questions, etc.

They pay monthly, and been with them for 3 months now and never really had a problem really.

        Hope that helps

I did a 6 month contract with 2 renewals for Eurobase in 2004/2005 and I had no problems. They paid me monthly, but always on time.

The people I dealt with there were friendly but they were not really able to help me prepare for the interview or anything as the agent was out of his depth, but there is nothing unusual in that in my experience. The first contract they took 18% but subsequently when the client told me directly I would get a 10% increase, Eurobase passed it all on to me without prompting.

The only negative point I could mention is that when my agent left (shortly after my first renewal) they failed to tell me and I did not find out until my second renewal came up!

              YMMV

Haha.. no man.. i don't work for them.. just was pleasantly dealt with. They were up front, didn't hustle me for references, talked to me with respect. Being my 2nd ever contract, and being hustled time and again by employment businesses, it was nice to be treated differently for a change.

Another agency which i feel is decently run is Matchtech. They have a lot of public sector clients, but, again, they're quite decent, keep their word. Not dodgy. Unlike the rest really
