Anyone know the price of diesel in France or Belgium?

oh dear - UK is the most expensive, which is of course a good thing as our beloved Chancellor asserted that very high fuel duties help insulate economy from high oil price shocks, indeed, comparing to the USA price of fuel in the UK increased by just 35-40% comparing to 100% in the USA, of course he forgets to add that in effect UK pricing is always much higher than even at peak oil levels...

Vegi oil for road fuel is not taxed in Europe (except UK)
The UK has also been asked by the European Commission to lower its Diesel prices, but on this occasion the chancellor is ignoring the EU.

feck... looks like I'll be syphoning the foreign lorries during my trip South this summer - it's only fair as they don't pay road tax in the UK
