BBC News - Record snowfall in northern Japan

I'm going snowboarding. Not in Japan though.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Where are you off to? I'm heading off to St. Anton in a couple of weeks - first time there.

I was in Canada last year when the alps had record snowfall

I am thinking Austria as well, perhaps Obertauern or I might go back to Laax in Switzerland as I like it there.

We had a look a Zermatt in Switzerland this year - never been there either. Found the lift passes were over £250 p/w and decided against it. Would like to go there someday though as I would like to see the Matterhorn.

You can also look at Cervinia on the Italian side and go over the top. Might be a bit cheaper (not sure) and the food is better.

Best mountain restaurant is Zum Zee on the zermatt side.

The forecast for my bit of Switzerland is sun for the next week.
