    Its going to be a grade a tulip disaster. Given that it goes live in October I have they begun testing it.

    Based on past experience with the outsource companies and other government IT projects have their even finished the specification yet let alone started to write the code.

      "Just last week, dole office bosses were forced to deny allegations that the Universal Credit project was in crisis after Labour MPs claimed that some workers implementing the new IT system had downed tools.

      "Work and pensions minister Mark Hoban described the allegations as a "red herring" and insisted that the programme was on track."

      Note that saying something is a red herring means you're not denying it exists, just claiming it isn't relevant.

        he Guardian reported earlier this week that five companies working on the IT contract - Accenture, Atos Origin, Oracle, Red Hat and IBM - had claimed that work on the UC system had been halted.
        Looks like a full on titanic scale disaster to me just by looking at the suppliers involved.
