    550 a day - how much for me?

    Yes it’s a newbie Q but any help appreciated...

    I am thinking of joining the contractor market (with BP – anyone work here in Trading Technology?) – its 550 a day (8 hrs) – how much this would I realistically expect to keep if I join one of these tax efficient companies like Prosperity4?

    Appreciate your help

    Don't touch P4 - just don't. If you must go with a brolly then Parasol are about the safest, but you're far better off with a ltd.
    His heart is in the right place - shame we can't say the same about his brain...

            Tax is very complicated and the umbrella companies do a grand job. If they take say 50% for fees and another 50% of the remainder you can have almost £150 left for yourself.
