Take a half cut in pay to work in Switzerland, you've got to be kidding.

                  As a permie or contractor?

If the former, what benefits such as health insurance contributions, pension, transport tickets, subsidised canteen etc are thrown in?

If the latter, what figure is that? What the agency says they'll give you gross or what they'll give you net (i.e. minus employer's social contributions)? Or even what they expect you to take home after social and tax at source? These are 3 different figures and I have come across all of 'em, and mixtures thereof.

You could live very comfortably on that kind of brass, but without knowing how much the equivalent job in the UK is worth, it is almost impossible to say.

Long term or short term with the aim of accumulating a wad?

Its Swiss Francs, gross. Permie role (Senior stato at pharma).
Package on top includes relocation for family, rent paid for 3 months, full medical, canteen etc.
Don't think its worth my while with the cushy number I have now, just curious.
The only reason to do it would be so the sprog gets bi-lingual + for the experience.
