    Sebastian Coe and the rest of his dewy-eyed consortium saw it as the future Wembley Stadium of UK athletics. So they built something that is not dual purpose.

    If I recall correctly, Spurs had the best idea. They'd have paid to knock it down, build a proper football stadium, and revamp Cystal Palace for athletics.
