    Foxy Knoxy to face Retrial

    link

Can't see the Americans granting Italy's extradition request if she's found guilty. That's pretty much a one way street if I'm not mistaken.

Sounds like double jeopardy, which is forbidden under the ECHR.
And what exactly is wrong with an "ad hominem" argument? Dodgy Agent, 16-5-2014

But the Stephen Lawrence killers were retried and the UK is signed up to ECHR

          From wikipedia

EHCR & Double Jeopardy Member states may, however, implement legislation which allows reopening of a case in the event that new evidence is found or if there was a fundamental defect in the previous proceedings.

Following the murder of Stephen Lawrence, the Macpherson Report recommended that the double jeopardy rule should be abrogated in murder cases, and that it should be possible to subject an acquitted murder suspect to a second trial if "fresh and viable" new evidence later came to light.

Ah, but is there new evidence against Knoxy?

And more to the point, why hasn't she done a Playboy shoot?

It has got nothing to do with double jeopardy and it's not technically a retrial. Both parties cannot bring any new evidence to the trial (if I am not mistaken). The court could decide to limit the scope of the trial to evaluation of a single body of evidence, most likely the knife that was found in Sollecito's house.

Because she is implicated in the murder of a 21 year old British girl perhaps?

The best she and her ex-boyfriend can do is disappear into obscurity.

Double Jeopardy is an optional clause in the ECHR and, disgracefully, the UK was one of several countries that opted out.
