that was desperate but he was a Ginger

Teenager astounds scientists by building a DNA testing machine in his bedroom - and he did it to discover why his brother is ginger | Mail Online

Fred Turner, 17, from Yorkshire built a DNA testing machine in his bedroom
Built the polymerase chain reaction machine from items he found at home
Wanted to see if his brother had the mutated gene that causes ginger hair
Experiment was a success and proved why his brother is ginger and he isn't
Fred was named the UK's Young Engineer of the Year for his design
    I'm impressed.

      That is cool.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

I would be bloody scared if I was the kids' mother.

There is some statistic around that 10% of fathers are the biological parent of their child.

Though I do like that Ginger hair.

Impressive knowledge on how to use a centrifuge but...

To identify my brother's mutation I opted for sequencing which I couldn't do at home so I had to send the sample to a lab.

no he didn't sequence but he did a fair part of it.

Sorry, didn't mean to take away from the innovative of what he did with the centrifuge and heating bit, just was trying to highlight the real number crunching tech that's outside most people's reach.

Top job though - I hope he gets snapped up by a tech corp for initiative.

Seems just a little low don't you think?

Our milkman isn't ginger, I'm confident.
Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson

It's a trick GJ. By definition the other 90% are too.
