Can we blame this on Maggie?

BBC News - Hundreds of Morrisons jobs at risk as new technology introduced

Nearly 700 jobs could be cut at Morrisons as manual cash counting is replaced by machines in the supermarket's back offices.

The Bradford-based chain has started a four-week consultation with 689 cash office managers and supervisors across its 490 stores.

The company said: "The new technology will simplify the operation."

Morrisons has been under pressure to cut costs after its profits fell by 7% in 2012 to £879m.

It's a classic case of Maggie inventing new technology even when she's dead.
You IT contractors don't know you're born, without Maggie inventing money and the computer you'd all be grubbing away in a pit somewhere.
Oh I just said "Maggie", gotta go and change my underpants.

    Thanks for listening.

It's weird - I'd have thought Sas would see himself as an arch-Thatcherite instead of a champagne socialist.

Maybe it's some guilt thing deep down, as he ponders all those multitudes intellectually worse off than himself

FFS that's the problem with IT people - do you have to be so fooking binary?
She did some good stuff but ultimately failed in the big picture.
