One of the first footie matches I went to was Gillingham vs Millwall (at home at Priestfields). We ended up being chased up the road by a group of machete wielding Millwall fans. Legged it as fast as we could towards the mounted plod, but it was quite a scary experience. As far as provocation, there may have been some verbal banter from my male companions, but nothing to provoke such a response. I think the fact that they travelled to the match with machetes in the boot of the car was quite telling!

I worked for the Old Bill and the LUFC Football Liaison Officer (who was a Spurs fan) invited me to the Leeds v Millwall match at Elland Road, their reputation does nothing for how much scum they really are, today fighting with themselves shows this.

By right of birth I should be a Millwall fan, but I have too much of a neck and my knuckles don't drag, plumped for the next closest footie ground which was Highbury at the time
