I found it odd SM focused on the mental stresses, when it is a statement of fact women can compete as well as men but cannot compete agaisnt men in terms of physical strength. F1 requires a high standard of physical training however I have no idea if its outside the capability of sportswomen. I would have thought it's not that onerous especially with the current rules making it easier physically.

Maria de Villota has spoken publicly for the first time of the testing crash in which she lost her right eye.

The accident happened when she was driving the Marussia car for the first time in a straight-line test at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire.

After completing one run and returning to the mechanics, the car suddenly accelerated into the back of a team truck with her helmet taking much of the impact.
              Hmmm

That has me thinking of KnightRider, or was it Dukes of Hazzard?
