It's a beautiful day, sun shining, birds singing!

Going to get on the old velocipede and pedal through the woods to the office.

Tomorrow's looking good too - if you're on the bench, relax and enjoy!

It's grey, cold, windy and p!ssing it down here in cloggers.

I just hope the weather is better for National Tango day ( aka Queens day bank holiday) tomorrow.

Super sunny here right now. No idea what it's like London when I get there. Nice quick 12.5 mile cycle yesterday as a warmup. Been practicing hills.

A wee bit chillier than I thought. Took a different route and got a bit lost. But very pleasant, and saw a deer and a couple of squirrels. :)

I saw how beautiful it was outside so decided to cycle to school with the kids this morning, dressed only in shorts and linen shirt.

Stupid effin idea that was. I've been back half and hour and am yet to warm up. Starting to get a bit pissed off at the weather in this country over the past few years. It's may on Wednesday. May ffs, and we're yet to see any semblance of effin spring....

I've seen some swallows.

Or were they swifts?

I can never tell the difference.

Swifts are quicker.

Ya wimp! It's summer! :D

Try 2°C and below in shorts and sleeveless!

It's the first 15 minutes that really hurt followed by an hour of blissful numbness followed by two hours of painful recovery with violent shivering basking on a rock made of warm blankets! :)

I'm thinking of going out to Bradgate Park. Shedloads of deer there :)

Coming from Newcastle just 2°C!!! You're just a wimp.

Friday night down the Bigg Market and unless its -10°C anything more would be overdressed. Oh and alcohol solves all problems including hypothermia.

:rollin:

I'm invoking the "too dangerous to cycle in icy conditions" card!

-10°C is bloody cold. -25°C in Hungary and it hurt to breathe, although I was dolled up like a polar bear.

Managed to get out to the country. It started out like this:

but quickly clouded over, with a freezing cold gale huffing at me :ohwell

http://www.nickfitz.co.uk/images/Bradgate/turned-cold.jpg

I did manage to see some deer, far away in the valley:

http://www.nickfitz.co.uk/images/Bradgate/distant-deer.jpg

although they were so far away that zooming in just reveals some brown blobs:

Ah well, at least I got some exercise :)

Yeah, welcome to the UK weather, despite the walking (and shite MetOffice forecasts) and brief sunbathing I did today, it was a little bit breezy and, er, meh.

I think they look more like elephants.

Much greyer for my cycle home tonight. No more deer, but did see a couple of bunnies.

I saw bunnies, running through all the newly flowered tulips on the way home on the train.

I'm pretty sure Lady Jane Grey's family didn't have any elephants. (It's where they used to live.)
