    Cooking for foreigners

    Having some cloggy friends round for dinner and thought it would be interesting to do a mix of traditional Irish and English dishes.

    What dishes would people think best represent their respective country of origin?

    Now if only I could get away with doing a full Irish

                Cranachan as dessert? Ticks the alcohol box nicely.

                I one had deep-fried bite-sized Mars Bars in tempura batter with a whiskey cream sauce. Surprisingly good.

                  So far planned are welsh rarebit and carrageen pudding for the starter and the dessert.

                  Need to dig around in the recipe books for summat traditional, if I can get a decent joint of beef I could do corned (salt) beef and serve it with cally.
