Is this life insurance plan a taxable benefit?

According to the provider this wouldn't be a taxable benefit in kind because it is a business expense even though the contractor would get the end benefit.
It even says so on their website however, i cannot see this being true.
Life Insurance where the contractor or family benefit must be a benefit in kind, correct?
