    Sometimes I think if the real reason behind contracting is that
    we have this fear of commitment
    to one company, place or even spouse.

    That's why we don't put down roots and move from
    one place to another or other countries .

    I bet even divorce rates is higher for us than permies.

        No, I think it's just you....

        The real problem is being an IT geek. Hardly any talented programmers could start a long term relationship, let alone a stick at it long enough to get divorced.
        Plan A is located just about here.
        If that doesn't work, then there's always plan B

          We monkeys can be very loyal. We just need the right amount of bananas and peanuts and we also have to be kept isolated from office politics. If that happens they can have us for a long time, either contracting or permanent.
          I've seen much of the rest of the world. It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.
