    Intel workers in Israel

    http://management.silicon.com/govern...9160483,00.htm

Missiles are landing in Israel's tech centre but people are still working.

Companies with development offices in Israel's northern city of Haifa have not shut down but they are taking extreme precautions. Intel has moved employees in Haifa, which is located about 20 miles south of the Lebanese border, into a bomb shelter equipped with wi-fi, an Intel Israel representative told Reuters.

Intel Israel spokesman Kobi Bachar told Reuters. "Work is still going on and we don't see any impact on output."

That's the spirit, don't let a few hundred missiles spoil productivity.

Those guys saved Intel's bakon with continued work on P3, turning it into Centrino and now Core 2: Intel sure owes them big time, not just WiFi access in shelter.

and how ironic - the Israelis saving someones 'bacon' FFS

You've come right out the other side of the forest of irony and ended up in the desert of wrong.

I’ve hear bacon referred to as “white beef” . There’s nothing like a crispy white beef sandwich to start the day.

Ironic use of the word "impact" don't you think?
