A role in the same firm

A hh rings me about a role within the same organisation.

What are the typical rules of engagement in this situation?

Tread carefully if you ask me.

A lot will depend on your current manager and if you know the manager who has the new role.

Unless you can get them to agree, then the new manager will usually say no to the agent, he will not want to bother for a contractor, plenty more fish etc.
