    Best curtains

My old curtains, which have served me well for nearly 15 years are looking somewhat crusty these days.

Looking for two 8 foot by 7foot curtains and two 5 foot by 5 foot curtains.

Any advice on the best curtains to get?

I would ask a friend, but you know how it is....

Ponden Mill. You can buy them ready made, or buy the material and get them to make them, or better still, buy the material and get [insert name of someone good with a sewing machine] to make them.

Nice velvet, thick enough to stop a rifle bullet, and with silk lining.

Can't be doing with these cheap chavvy cotton things that don't even keep the light out

Sounds very soft on the skin. I like it.

Is this a 'I'm coming out' thread?

Sounds like they'd be quite absorbent too, perfect!

They will look like an army of snails have invaded by the end of the week.

unfortunately silk isn't so good for wiping things on, tends to slither!
