My boys are now of an age where they are starting to bring bints delightful young ladies home to let me letch at introduce to mater & pater
Eldest is currently studying medicine oop North & turned up with a lass from Liverpool that is also on the course - veryshaggable pretty, well spoken (but with a slight scouse twang) and obviously on her best behaviour - what really shocked me was the way she held her knife and fork during meal times, both were held in the wrong hand and the fork used as a shovel.
Now I was was bought up on a Northern council estate but had table manners drummed in both at home and at school from a very early age - it appears that this generation is not aware or chooses to ignore social conventions as I also see it more frequently in UK restaurants and on certain TV programs
Is it important ?
