    Sql Saturday

A couple of people at my soon to be ex-client have invited me along to this.

One of them has been to a similar event in the States & said it was very good.

It's free, you get to network & probably get to learn something too.

Shame it's such a schlepp up to Cambridge....

Shame it's on a saturday, as I'll be shlepping away from there this evening.

Is it like a sort of quiz night where people are sitting around tables trying to devise SELECT statements for fiendish table and column combinations?

Its a Saturday, its going to be sunny, cursors are not evil (otherwise I wouldn't know what character I'm overtyping) and I bet everyone there looks like this (including the women):

Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Haha, having been to one before (Dublin) I can confirm that yes there are a few nerdy types that turn up.

Might have to try Cambridge as well, for a free event they are worth it.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
