Going technical or going business ?

As I struggle to find a new Business Analyst role being contracting for the last 3 years with Public Administration seems no one needs my business competencies, I am considering to go for contracts related to technical positions, such as technical project manager.
What is your advice ? Any past experience worth sharing ?

If you can't get a role as a BA then maybe you're not cut out for contracting.

BA wise what do you specialise in? Have you considered going the Agile route?

I would advise that you reconsider your business and focus accordingly. Just being a BA doesn't cut it these days.

Get a hard, rigorous, technical skill.
The reason why you can't get BA work is any idiot can call himself one.
Advertise for a BA and you'll get 300 CVs.
Advertise for a statistician who can specialise in health economics and you'll probably get 2: me and the other guy
        Hard Brexit now!

Oh and another thing. The last thing this industry needs is yet another "Technical Project Manager" who knows nothing about technical stuff or management

I thought you didn't need the work. So surely the advert would get 1 response...

Must you advertise your cretinism to all and sundry at every opportunity?
It was a hypothetical scenario to illustrate a point, you dunce.

I just want to see what digs annoy you and which either go over your head or annoy you such much you can't think of an unwitty reply.
