Interestingly, Italdesign choose not to feature the Morris Ital in a prominent position on their website. I wonder why.

"L" reg, so about 1972/3 ish IIRC.

    Ital was 80 to 83.

Remarkable that the POS was still running in my opinion.

A Morris 1000 reanimated with frighteningly bigger engines.

I think the Allegro was the replacement for the 1100/1300.

The Marina was a Morris 1000 parts bin design.

They were going to release the 1800cc version whilst still using the lever arm dampers off the Moggie 1000 until the press stopped them because the handling was so appalling.

If UKIPers get their way, that's the kind of car we'll all be driving.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

Yeah the Ital and Marina are pretty poor.

There is one guy around here who's daily driver is a Austin Cambridge. about '68 I think. In Pink, painted with a brush it look. Wife doesn't look happy in it however.

How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

I very almost met an untimely end in an orange Morris Marina when it skidded sideways into a tree. Bloody thing snapped in half just behind the passenger seat I was in. Luckily there was no body in the back.

The Avon and Somerset police used to use the evidence photos of the crash to 'educate' youngsters about driving safely.

Unbelievably there are actually sad people who spend months and a fortune lovingly restoring them

Untimely indeed; you wouldn't want to be seen dead in that.

My Healey Sprite had those Armstrong lever jobbies..and that was the best handling car I've ever owned ( but recklessness of yoof may also have something to do with it)
