What do you talk to old gits about

So first day in a new contract and i'm sat next to one of those ancient health freak nutters (with a dodgy knee) who rabbits on about the youth of today and how we are all a waste of space. Worse he clearly cycled or ran to the office this morning and has not showered.

Can anyone give me some things to talk about as it like talking to my senile parents..
