    WTF? TV-licence-offences-account-for-one-in-ten-UK-court-cases

TV licence offences account for one in ten UK court cases - Telegraph

More than 180,000 people – almost 3,500 a week – appeared before the Magistrates Courts, accused of watching television without a valid £145.50 licence.

About time they ended up in the small claims court.

They obviously didn't realise the power of putting up an "Implied Right Of Access Denied" notice to prevent all of this.

Licence free for 4 years and enjoying it.

this I think is the logical conclusion of their behaviour.

          Agreed.

It's cheaper to credit black list people.

            True.

The BBC used to make quality programming and entertainment, its news service seemed to be fairly unbiased and even handed, those days are long gone and it serves no real purpose.

The TV tax is one I'm happy to avoid (legally of course).

Let me guess - the TV is owned by an offshore partnership?

The licence fee is classified as a tax, and evasion is a criminal offence.

Nothing worth watching these days anyway. Better off with catch up and youtube for free.

BabyBP is now learning Italian and Spanish on his own by finding Peppa Pig in these languages on youtube!

And the best thing about the internety is loads of pr0n - not much on TV.

If you've got something like Netflix, 4OD and iPlayer you don't need live TV anyway.

It's only if you want to gossip about some trashy telly with work zomboids would you need live TV, or you're a chav who must watch live kickball
                    Doing the needful since 1827
