    Schwiizertüütsch / Schweizerdeutsch

Is there any point in learning it? Does it give you more contacts/contracts? Would that eventually give me more money?

I am not necessarily planning to move there right now but my German is half decent and I am focusing on improving my comprehension of Bavarian and Austrian German.

I met a young woman form Switzerland, she said if you can manage at least to understand Schwiizertüütsch you go top of the range.

    Myth or reality?

And how would you study it? I've seen pretty much all Swiss textbooks are in Hochdeutsch.
<Insert idea here> will never be adopted because the politicians are in the pockets of the banks!

It's hard to learn even if you speak High German, so my German mates told me.
Don't know if it gives you any advantages if you are a contractor - maybe if you are a permie.
When I was in SBC (as a contrcator) everyone spoke English - not speaking Swiss German didn't seem to be an issue, but like I say as a contractor you're there to do a job not climb the ladder.
    Hard Brexit now!
