    FAO Gricerboy.

What technology development would you consider that could bring about change to the rail sector?

    Just asking like...

I think a machine that would give a high voltage electric shock to a rail company executive everytime there was a delay would work wonders.

      Dear Cojak

I have noted your request for some expert insight into matters concerning the British rail network but, owing to the seriousness of the topic in hand I feel I need to give your question some thought so that my response does not, in any way, seem glib or trite.

If you're travelling down on East Midland I'll give you a wave from 1st Class

Having used 1st and standard class to London in the past I decided that with the savings, I'd buy the biscuits and coffee myself...

Thought you have another week up north but yes outside of Virgin and East Coast the only bit of first class that is worthwhile is the probability of getting a seat.

Maybe the station barrier gates could automatically punch gricer's ticket.

I do have another week, my last contract was in London and I almost had the pick of seats when I went because my train started a stop above me.
