    BBC News - Ed Miliband vows to cut business rates for small firms

    Sounds like easy money for contractors? And thats all you lot care about isn't it?

    BTW sorry for not posting a meaningless thread like seems to be the general vogue at the moment......

    SMEs with property are better off whilst everybody else pays 21% CT rather than 20% - is that the gist of it?

      In other words, put up corp tax and lower business rates to push up the cost of commercial property.

      LibLabCon can't see beyond stoking property bubbles, be it residential or commercial property.

          To be honest, I'd probably vote for some old style socialism. New Lbour didn't really Havd any socialist policies - they were too busy ingratistong big business.

          Politi ally we need change of tac. I'd votefor them.

            Contractors aren't small businesses. You're all disguised employees, so shouldn't be paying CT anyway.
            Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

                  Mr Miliband will say that by 2020 under Labour 200,000 houses would be built a year
                  There will also be a fresh generation of new towns

                  Here's some prospective town names ED - Edistan, Stalin-lowski, Trotski-Tata, Melting Point.
