Lord Sugar turns the tables on former Apprentice winner Stella English by suing her for £35,000 in legal costs | Mail Online

Former Apprentice winner Stella English to start claiming benefits and will have her home repossessed after marriage collapse under stress of leaving £100,000-a-year job
Miss English had tried to sue Lord Sugar for constructive dismissal
She claimed that she had been treated like an 'overpaid lackey' by the peer
But The Apprentice winner's claim was dismissed by judges as 'ill-advised'
Lord Sugar is now suing Miss English to recover his legal bill
Miss English hasn't worked since leaving Citigroup back in July
She told the tribunal that she cannot afford a birthday gift for her son
The 34-year-old's business ventures have fallen flat since leaving Viglen
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

        That's just vindictive.

If he wanted costs he should have asked the tribunal at the time.

No he couldn't, these are classed as wasted costs

              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Costs_(English_law)

              Wasted costs

These are defined as[4] "costs incurred by a party—
              (a) as a result of any improper, unreasonable or negligent act or omission on the part of any legal or other representative or any employee of such a representative; or(b) which, in the light of any such act or omission occurring after they were incurred, the court considers it is unreasonable to expect that party to pay"
These costs will include the situation in which a party has incurred unnecessarily due to the other side's conduct. For example, if a Court hearing is postponed due to one party not turning up at Court. As a result, the other party had to pay a Brief fee for a Barrister, for a hearing that ultimately did not take place.

If there is one thing I hate about the way this country has developed over the last 30 odd years, it's the compensation culture.
                It's destructive.

So it cheers my heart to see one of the grabbers get bent over for a change. Good one sugar
