Every time he misbehaves, he'll spend the next level on the naughty step. So, 7 days, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year, perm.
Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!

Just being generally and humourlessly offensive for no really good reason. He was banned by Cojak for the same reason a few months ago. And that's the reason why Ketchup was perm-banned. Maybe one day he'll learn, perhaps when his voice stops squeaking and he turns red when talking to girls.

Out of interest, when a permabanned user returns with a new equally dull account and misbehaves, why don't you just permaban it?

Because sometimes they tone it down.

And we can see that CM is a shining example of post permaban rehabilitation. But for those who are clearly recidivist, it seems peculiar not to just get rid of them again permanently at an early stage. Or do they just come back stronger anyway? Or are these just the mysteries of moderation that can never fully be understood?

Then why perma-ban at all? Surely, sometimes they will tone it down on their original account.

If they can't take the hint of escalating duration of bans then I doubt having to think of a new username will change anything.
