How much are you prepared to pay towards mortgage?

As a proportion of your net monthly income.

Would it be more like 30% or would you risk paying 50% or even more?

We pay 15% of our combined pre-tax income and consider that as high as we're comfortable with.

We paid at approx50% for a couple of years, then our variable mortgage rate plummeted and we were able to get higher savings interest rates instead so it was no longer worth over paying

Currently not beyond 10% per annum, but that's renting. Anything more in this climate is too much exposure.

Would accept up to 15% at current base rates so 25% if rates went back to normal.

So how would you describe the Londoners loading up to pay 50-60% of the combined household net income?

We're looking to move and the ceiling is about 20%, or 25 if we really push it

                    Fck all squared

That's what I would pay for a mortgage.
Sorry, but borrowing is for mugs
