Clever Ads - better than the tv programmes they sit between !

Back in the day ( I am old ! ) the "Smash" Advert with the robots was unusual - but it's still rememberd now by people of a certain age and indeed usually appears somewhere when they have these televised polls etc. I can (sadly) repeat the entire advert, in a dodgy robot voice. Because the product name was in the tag line at the end, and the ad revolved round smashing up potatoes, its pretty easy to remember the product.

Today I found an advert to add to my favorites ( some of them are better than the programmes!).... Its a boy watching stuff happen in a pond, and the tadpole extravagance is the mutts nutts ! I am so engrossed I keep forgetting what the hell it is advertising ! ( blimey it's on... hang on ...) FREEVIEW

    Other favorites
The usual one around Christmas for Grouse Whiskey, mad rush if more than one of family sees it together to guess the tag line : Ginger Grouse was one we never got

The thnkbox ads with Harvey the dog and his toy rabbit

The old Guiness advert with the horses coming out of the waves

Anyone else got any nostalgic ones ?

Moved to General as this could get us all thinking.

The toy rabbit is the new favourite of mine.

I like the car add with the car winding down a winding country road only for a zombie to pop up in the center of the screen at the last minute

Know idea who it was advertising for though
