    23andme

Anyone had their DNA analysed with 23andme?

99 dollars. Apparently I'm male, brown eyes, 3% Neanderthal and I have a higher risk of bottom cancer.

Amazing to see what they can do nowadays. I highly recommend it.

Loads. I have a low chance of diabetes 1, better than average genetics for memory, likely to be lactose tolerant, high pain threshold. I am a haemochromatosis carrier. Loads of stuff. They analyse a million SNPs.

It's amazing stuff. Highly recommend it to everyone.

Thanks for the reminder - Been meaning to get it done, purely out of curiosity.

Being a haemochromatosis carrier means you're more likely to survive bubonic plague, and TB

I wanted to do this, but boyfriend said it might result in me having to declare to insurance firms - put me off.

I had my DNA analysed. Apparently it tasted salty or so she claimed.
