    Evening all

So, first week in new gig.

Got chatting to the man next to me, today. Within roughly 8 minutes, he had told me his first wife had left him and his kids for another woman, that he'd been abused as a child, and about his daughter's complicated labour earlier this year [in horrible, horrible detail].

    I mean, WTF?

Perhaps he knows about my fear of small talk.
Practically perfect in every way....there's a time and (more importantly) a place for malarkey.

    Perhaps he's sad and lonely.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Exactly. In just a few minutes you've found out he's single and is probably filthy. Why overcomplicate things?

          1. He now has a 2nd wife and is at least 25 years older than me
          2. How does the above reveal he's filthy?
          3. What makes you think I would like someone filthy?

Tell him you're a contractor, so a therapist would probably be cheaper than your time.
