Annoying companies who don't identify means of payment properly on recpt / invoice

    1. Arriva Bus company - says I have paid online but doesn't tell me which card I used - luckily I remember that the company card would not go through so I had to use my personal one.
    2. PCG - just says "thank for paying by credit card" but doesn't tell me which one - ever more odd that none of my card statements has any debit on it for the corresponding amount.
    3. QDOS - I had to ask for proof of deposit payment as they didn't give me any.

At least with face to face transactions you are given a proper receipt / invoice!
This default font is sooooooooooooo boring and so are short usernames

Yes please, but can you give me a proper receipt for it?

Let me just swipe your credit card through this machine on my belt before I let you put it in the machine and enter your pin. There you go.

Would that be because their credit card transactions are done by a third party and therefore they don't know any of your card details.

And there is a reason for that. Banks really don't want credit card details on corporate servers....

To the PCG's credit, when I asked them for an updated invoice (they had made it out to me personally instead of MyCo), they sent me one within 12 hours.

This. We use SagePay for our card transactions and therefore do not store any details on our servers.

All we will know is whether the policy is paid by card, cheque or bank transfer.
