Going by how they write code they probably downloaded the V2 rocket plans from the web and have been frantically asking questions on physics forums on how to get it to run.

If we sell £1.5 billion of arms or something as a result then there's no rational reason to grumble.

Plus we're more involved in their high tech projects, which might well by now be in advance of ours!

Does the aid go to the Indian government or straight to aid projects on the ground?

From what I understand, the money goes to UK companies to purchase equipment/supplies that are shipped to India.

In some cases they are of no benfit to the aid project (Think Range Rover for the guy in charge) The project does not get money from other sources as they have already received aid from the the UK.

UK aid to other countries is a can of worms. Ask Sir Bob.
