    Unboomed / boomed weridness

    That's been an odd morning...

Had a scheduled meeting with ClientCo project head honcho. I had the impression in advance that it was to get a 3 month extension from December. Was instead to tell me that they don't have the funding to extend and they're giving me plenty of notice. All very nice and civilised - muchly appreciated. We have a chat afterwards about other stuff in pipeline and I mention long-running permie recruitment process that may or may not result in offer one day. Head honcho then tells immediate workstream lead (who is a good mate who got me gig) that I had decided to turn down the extension (WTF???) to take up a permie offer.

Then the permie offer comes in after 6 months of to-ing and fro-ing, and it's the offer I'm looking for. So that might be my signal for a walk of shame...

Admin, can we have a permie-walk-of-shame emoticon please?

While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'
