Best present youve bought this year

So, out of all the things you have bought or plan to buy for christmas this year, which one is the best present and why?

For me, i'd say it is a pair of blue butterfly earings that gf chef saw in Manchester Craft Centre a few months back that she really loved but then spent the next few days wishing we'd bought them at the time before flying back to Sweden, its a great present not because they're expensive but mainly because I'm certain she thinks I've forgotten all about them and hadn't actually considered phoning them up and getting them delivered international. Lots fo extra brownie points for chef this christmas I think.

A book, via Kickstarter, which shows that I love and accept everything about my wife.

Oh tulip. While Lady Tester is very pleased with the loot from the weekend's shopping trip to various boutiques, I hadn't stopped to think that Christmas is coming. This could get expensive.

A furby, for the comedy value when working away from home of being able to see them react to inanimate object suddenly talk cat to them
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

For myself or for someone else?

Jr is getting a microscope for Christmas.
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

What makes them the best present that you have bought - the amount of thought that you've put into it? How much time you spent wondering if that was the just the right thing to buy, and that the person receiving it would really treasure the amount of effort you've put in?
