Michael Ignatieff: Everyone is watching Scotland

On the independence theme / the Canadian experience this one is worth watching. Regardless of the vote I agree with much of what is said here. The country as a whole is ill prepared for change like it 'could not happen'.

How should we prepare? Stockpile haggis?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

Actually I was thinking about the other half of the country but I like where your head is at!

Preparations aside who else is going to the party on the 18th in Edinburgh?

Czechoslovakia managed it all very neatly. The main difference presumably being that the rump UK will be the successor state and Scotland will need to apply for UN and EU membership etc.
