    New life into old songs

That advert on telly has caused me to re-purchase my old Slade albums.

They were a great band and much better than 'Merry Xmas Everybody' would suggest.

They were far better than they get credit for now, and were huge in their heyday.

Anyone seen their movie, Slade in Flame? Very good, not the usual 70's sugar coated swoon fest, in fact very gritty and true to life..

Saw them in 1980 in Exeter..

They were very loud. Drummer smashed his kit up at the end.

Must get hold of a copy of their film, what was it? Flame or something...

I have seen the film and read the book. The book's even grittier.

One thing I noticed a while back is that where many lead singers strap on a guitar and strum a few chords occasionally, Noddy is really quite a decent guitarist in his own right.

Oh yes, Neville ' ' Holder and his amazing sideburns. their greatest song, possibly:

              (Q) Noddy Holders voice sounds like:

              a) A Warthog having it's testicles buffed up with an electric sander.
              b) A Formula One racing car suddenly being slung into reverse at 130 mph.
              c) A Panther falling down a moving escalator whilst being buggered by a gorilla.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Nod looks like a kind of rock n roll John Thaw in that vid.

As with Robbie Williams, their best stuff isn't the singles. Flame was an eye opener.
