    Who's working over Christmas?

Technically I'm working invoicing all day every day (WFH) apart from Christmas Day itself.

Not sure how much actual work will get done though, might need the LHC to detect any productivity:

Two weeks away, but taking laptop incase something goes FUBAR
Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the abject worship of the state.

No Socialist Government conducting the entire life and industry of the country could afford to allow free, sharp, or violently-worded expressions of public discontent.

Two weeks away and not taking any means of communication with clientco. If all goes FUBAR they should have bloody well listened earlier.

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

Not me, haven't had a break throughout the year and I've been billing the client for over-production in addition to this, so the break is welcome.

                I'm working.

Christmas eve is traditionally half-day with the permies but I'm wondering do I invoice a full day?

Before I get shouted off by the regular reprobates, do I include some client good-will here? i.e. not appear a complete money-grabbing leach?

I can't remember what my contract says about non-full days.

Notified them ages ago that I'm taking 8 days off (Christmas Day to New Year). Booked a short holiday. Last Friday client "mandated" no contractors working for the whole 2 weeks. Grr.

They can do it, it's the thoughtless lack of notice that I don't like. Of course as a contractor you take it or leave it. The balance between those 2 options may be shifting.

Might have to do something poncy in Jan/Feb when everyone is even more miserable than they are now
