Accepted parcel for another house... person doesn't live there!

I accepted a parcel for another house on our street, as I often do. However on closer inspection on the front is written "not at this address". I'm confused how the courier tried to deliver it but anyway if that person doesn't live there - nobody has come round to claim it after a few days now - what am I supposed to do?

Take it to the address and ask the if it's theirs, otherwise send it to me.

Hard to be sure without opening it, but the box design makes me suspect it might be a Kindle.

Hmmm. Bit of a dilemma. Keep it for a couple of days and if not collected open it. Call the company and they might say you can keep it.
It's probably just an addressing cock up though.

the idiots who deliver for m & s just leave the packages in the middle of the garden in the rain, for any passing tea leaf to see... one of the reasons i avoid buying from them online now...
