    It's a Wonderful Life

What a wonderful film. Never seen it before. Truly heartwarming stuff.
Now Im watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and have High Society on the hard drive for later.

They certainly don't make 'em like that any more.

Everyone seems to rave about it, but the part I watched before getting bored seemed a load of dated sentimental tosh.

        Filmhouse cinema, Edinburgh

Typically shown every other year at the filmhouse at Christmas. We went to see it two / three year ago, an experience made all the more magical when you share the auditorium with those all wanting to watch the same film.

I have to agree, even though I am a fan of Jimmy Stewart.

I look forward to your all knowing and likely sarcastic and unhelpful reply.

I've just realised that I haven't used my hard drive at all this Christmas. I've had the flu, which dampens the enthusiasm a bit, but even so.

Bang on. It's really not very good, yet there's some sort of conspiracy to keep saying how great it is, and vote it the best Christmas film of all time. Which, by the way, it isn't.

Agree. I've had a smidge of Pneumonia, which also dampens the enthusiasm. Fortunately the kids all got Tablets for Christmas and couldn't give a flying ****.

Never seen it. Our telly is stuck on the footie channel.
