both groups plan a meeting in a couple of weeks in Winnipeg. I do hope the ice breakers manage to free the current crop of eejits

this trip by the eco loonies, is following the path of an explorer called Mawson. He famously entered an ice free bay and landed on an ice free shore in antartica.
These eco-loons, decided to retrace that to show how the ice has now disappeared (it wasnt there for Mawson ??)

and they get stuck in the ice.

Well yes, pack ice has always been hard to predict, not sure that making what is no more than a propaganda point out of the misfortune of some scientific researchers is in the best taste.
